We take our materials seriously. Every tonewood we use is graded, tested, and selected using our proprietary acoustic rating system. This ensures that each piece contributes to the voice, resonance, and long-term stability of the instrument.
We’re not interested in wood for its looks alone. At Belforti, we developed our own wood rating protocol inspired by scientific disciplines outside of traditional lutherie—where precision, control, and repeatability are non-negotiable. Each body and neck blank undergoes a thorough evaluation: frequency response mapping, density testing, structural stability checks, and seasoning history analysis.
