The G·2 is Belforti’s modern double-cut electric guitar — balanced, resonant, and versatile, built to order in Big Rapids, Michigan. In the Essential Series it focuses on the fundamentals: clear, articulate tone, comfortable ergonomics, and reliable hardware, offered as a customizable platform you can shape to your own playing.
About the G·26 - Essential - Outer Space Black
The G·26 Essential is a six-string electric guitar built for players who want a modern, high-performance instrument without unnecessary complexity. Clean lines, serious electronics, and a playing feel that disappears under your hands — this is a working guitar designed to perform.
The poplar body is finished in Outer Space Black, a deep matte black with a subtle cool undertone that absorbs light rather than reflecting it. Against it, the leopard ebony fretboard stands in striking contrast — its wild, high-contrast figuring one of the most visually distinctive surfaces found on any instrument at any price point. The roasted ash neck adds stability and a naturally aged feel, its treatment process reducing moisture sensitivity and enhancing long-term resonance.
At the heart of the G·26 Essential is Belforti's asymmetric 3D Flow neck profile — a signature geometry with no parallel edges and a continuously shifting cross-section that adapts to the natural position of the hand as it moves across the neck. There are no hard transitions, no uncomfortable edges. Just a neck that feels like it was shaped specifically for your grip.
Stainless steel frets pair with the leopard ebony surface for a fast, precise playing experience built to last. Electronics follow an HSS configuration — a Seymour Duncan TB4 in the bridge position alongside two SSL-4 single coils — covering clean, warm cleans through to aggressive, high-output rock tones without breaking a sweat.
The G·26 Essential is a focused instrument. No excess, no compromise.

Core Specs
Core Specs
Number of strings : 6
The universal standard for electric and acoustic guitars. Versatile and intuitive, covering all genres and playing styles with countless tuning possibilities and ergonomic familiarity.
Scale Length : Long 25.5"
Classic guitar scale length delivering bright response, clear attack, and balanced string tension. Standard on many iconic electric guitars, offering precision and dynamic range.
Number of frets : 22
Traditional fret count favored for its vintage aesthetic and tonal response. Provides slightly warmer neck pickup placement and classic feel.
Neck Profile : 3D Flow
A modern, rounded profile inspired by dynamic ergonomic design. The 3D Flow features a continuously shifting apex — offset across the neck’s length — to follow the natural rotation of the wrist as your hand moves up and down the fretboard. It encourages relaxed posture and fluid transitions, especially during position changes.
Radius : Modern 12" to 16"
Flatter fretboard radius for fast playing, low action, and effortless bending. Ideal for technical and contemporary playing styles.
Woods
Woods
Body : Poplar
Poplar is a light, tight-grained hardwood widely used in professional instrument building for its tonal consistency and workability. It produces a balanced, even tone with a focused midrange and a clean low end — neither as warm as mahogany nor as bright as ash, but sitting comfortably between the two in a way that suits a wide range of pickup configurations and playing styles. Its relatively light weight makes it a practical choice for full-length performances, and its fine, uniform grain takes paint finishes exceptionally well, making it the preferred body wood for solid-color builds where the finish rather than the wood is the visual statement.
Neck : Roasted Ash
Roasting transforms ash through high-temperature, oxygen-free heat treatment — driving out moisture, stabilizing the wood, and producing a neck that behaves like decades-old seasoned timber from day one. The process tightens the grain response, adds tonal clarity and a drier, more focused fundamental, and significantly reduces sensitivity to humidity and temperature changes. The natural coloring shifts toward warm amber and caramel tones as a side effect of the treatment. A neck that feels broken in before you've even played it.
Fretboard : Leopard Ebony
Leopard ebony — also known as Macassar ebony — is among the most visually dramatic tonewoods available for fretboard use. Its defining characteristic is its high-contrast figuring: broad streaks and patches of deep black running through a warm brown or amber base, creating a pattern that varies wildly from board to board. No two leopard ebony fretboards look alike, and highly figured pieces are considered among the most beautiful surfaces in lutherie.

Outer Space Black
Matte black is one of the most demanding finishes to execute well — and one of the most striking when done right. Unlike gloss, which reflects and amplifies, a true matte surface absorbs light, giving the instrument a presence that is quiet and commanding at the same time. Outer Space Black sits at the darker, cooler end of the black spectrum — neither warm nor neutral, but deep and intentional. It shows no fingerprints, develops no shine with age, and lets the geometry of the body do the visual work. A finish for players who prefer their instrument to speak through the amp, not the light rig.

Pickups
Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound SSL4 & TB4
Seymour Duncan TB-4 Quarter Pound — Bridge
The TB-4 is the Trembucker-spaced version of Seymour Duncan's Quarter Pound humbucker, designed for guitars with wider string spacing at the bridge. It delivers the same high-output, thick, and present tone as the standard Quarter Pound — a strong midrange character, exceptional cut, and more aggression than a vintage-spec humbucker — in a format optimized for accurate string-to-pole alignment. Full, loud, and direct.
Seymour Duncan SSL-4 Quarter Pound Single Coil
The SSL-4 applies the Quarter Pound philosophy to a standard single-coil format — higher output, more presence, and a stronger fundamental than a vintage-spec pickup, while retaining the snap, clarity, and bell-like top end that single coils are known for. It sits well in a mix without heavy EQ, and responds cleanly to both light and aggressive playing dynamics.
