Overview
The M-Series is the mid range Series of Belforti's line up. These instruments represent the entry in the world of fine lutherie, with decorative tops, high performance woods and electronics, in a form factor that represents modern lutherie. They are a continuity of the E-Series design, and bridge the gap between E & S-Series.
As a part of this Series, this instrument features the following :
Master Grade Tonewoods
The Master-grade woods that are known for their stunning visual appeal as well as their tonal excellence. These aren't just any pieces of timber; they are carefully selected for their aesthetic beauty, tonal richness, and resonance.
All the Master Grade woods are rated between 81 and 90 on the Belforti rating.
Faux Pickguard Aesthetics
The faux pickguard gives the M-Series their distinctive look. It maintains this classic look and brings coherence to the design, while preserving the grain pattern. It is made out of inlayed ebony.
We could never put a piece of plastic on these, not even transparent acrylic !
Matching Premium Inlays
M-Series fretboard and headstock inlays are exclusively made out of the top wood you chose. They are extracted from the scraps of your top, and they are outline with a black inlayed ebony outline.

Woods
Woods
Body : European Ash
Ash is a dense, heavy hardwood with a pronounced open grain structure. Its rigidity provides excellent sustain and energy transfer. Often visually striking, it is harder to machine due to its density. Ash bodies tend to have a bright resonance and deliver long-lasting vibrations throughout the instrument.
Neck : Norwegian Maple
Maple is a classic neck wood prized for its density, stiffness, and stability. It offers a snappy response and clean vibration transfer. Its medium weight and closed grain provide excellent resistance to warping. Maple is highly reliable for precision neck construction and offers a bright, clean visual aesthetic.
Fretboard : Indian Rosewood
Indian Rosewood is a dense, oily hardwood with a naturally smooth feel. Its open pores provide excellent grip and tactile comfort. Highly stable across climates, it resists wear and moisture absorption. Its dark brown hues often feature subtle figuring, giving fretboards a warm and classic visual appearance.

Makore
Makore (Tieghemella heckelii) is a tropical hardwood native to West and Central Africa, valued for its rich, reddish-brown color and fine, interlocked grain. It has a natural luster that gives it a subtle shimmer, especially when finished. The grain can range from straight to wavy, sometimes producing a ribbon-like or mottled figure. Dense and durable, makore is commonly used in fine woodworking and instrument making due to its stability and smooth texture.
Lovely Curves
M-Series tops are bent on the armrest which keeps intact the beautiful grain as well as creating an ergonomic and delicate curve to rest on.

Modern Electronics
The M-Series comes equiped with our Modern Electronics.
Contrary to what the name might evoke, the Modern Configuration is modern by its power, versatility and potential, rather than being specifically meant for modern genres like prog or fusion. But it does it like nothing else !
This Configuration features more complex layouts for advanced tonescaping, and our SENSE III Pickups Family. These are noisecancelling pickups with modern components and advanced architectures.
