About the Yatē 6 - Essential - Ueno Sakura Pink
The Yatē 6 – Essential “Kurenai” combines expressive design with meticulous craftsmanship, enriched by a striking Japanese-inspired finish. Its Kurenai no Haku (Crimson Foil) treatment layers deep red tones over delicate silver foil, creating a textured, time-worn surface where flashes of metal emerge through the color. The result is both bold and poetic — a finish that feels alive, shifting subtly with light and perspective.
Built from red alder, the body delivers a balanced tonal foundation with warmth, clarity, and dynamic response. The Norwegian maple neck and fretboard provide a smooth, articulate playing experience, enhancing definition across the full frequency range.
With its 25.5" scale, 22 frets, and 12"–16" compound radius, the instrument offers a fluid transition from comfortable chord work to precise lead playing. The geometry feels natural in the hands, encouraging both expressive phrasing and technical control.
Minimalist perloid inlays complement the instrument’s visual identity, adding a touch of elegance without distracting from the dramatic Kurenai finish.
Faithful to the philosophy of the Essential Series, the Yatē 6 – Essential Kurenai focuses on what matters most: refined construction, inspiring playability, and a distinctive visual character. It is an instrument designed not only to perform, but to leave a lasting impression — both sonically and visually.

Colors
Kurenai No Haku
The Kurenai no Haku finish draws inspiration from traditional Japanese decorative techniques where delicate metallic leaf is layered beneath translucent color. In this interpretation, silver foil fragments are carefully embedded under a deep crimson finish, creating a surface that feels both organic and dramatic.
Rather than appearing uniform, the foil reveals itself in irregular patterns across the body. The red pigment partially veils the metal beneath, allowing flashes of silver to emerge through worn edges and subtle texture. This interplay between color and metal gives the finish remarkable depth — shifting from rich, saturated red to cold metallic highlights depending on how the light strikes the surface.
The result is a visual language somewhere between traditional craftsmanship and raw expressive art. It evokes aged lacquer, weathered armor, or fragments of metal beneath painted surfaces — a finish that feels lived-in and powerful rather than pristine.
Each Kurenai no Haku instrument develops its own pattern, making every piece visually unique. No two surfaces reveal the foil in exactly the same way, turning the finish itself into a signature element of the instrument’s identity.
