About the Yatē 6 - Masterbuilt -Imbuia
The Yatē 6 Masterbuilt is Belforti's highest expression of the double-cutaway electric guitar — a six-string commission instrument built without ceiling, where material quality, acoustic performance, and visual impact are treated as equally non-negotiable.
The roasted ash body is topped with a book-matched imbuia cap of exceptional figure — dense, swirling flame that shifts from deep amber to burnt copper under a clear gloss coat, giving the surface a warmth and depth that no tinted finish could replicate. The natural gloss treatment lets the wood speak entirely for itself: no burst, no color, just the imbuia as it is, which is more than enough. A thin black binding traces the body edge, framing the top with precision and restraint. Gold hardware throughout — bridge saddles, pickup surrounds, control knobs — anchors the warm tonal palette of the woods in metal.
The roasted maple neck carries an Indian rosewood fretboard dressed with Belforti's signature falling cat sequence inlay in a warm natural tone that reads quietly against the dark rosewood. Stainless steel frets complete a playing surface built for accuracy and longevity.
Two Seymour Duncan P-Rails humbuckers give the Yatē 6 Masterbuilt a tonal range that goes well beyond a standard HH configuration. Each pickup combines a P-90-style coil with a rail single coil in a single humbucker housing — switchable between three distinct voices per pickup, and combinable across positions for a tonal palette that covers clean single-coil clarity, punchy P-90 character, and full humbucker output from the same instrument.
The Yatē 6 Masterbuilt is a commission instrument. One top, one build, one player.

Overview
The M-Series is the mid range Series of Belforti's line up. These instruments represent the entry in the world of fine lutherie, with decorative tops, high performance woods and electronics, in a form factor that represents modern lutherie. They are a continuity of the E-Series design, and bridge the gap between E & S-Series.
As a part of this Series, this instrument features the following :
Master Grade Tonewoods
The Master-grade woods that are known for their stunning visual appeal as well as their tonal excellence. These aren't just any pieces of timber; they are carefully selected for their aesthetic beauty, tonal richness, and resonance.
All the Master Grade woods are rated between 81 and 90 on the Belforti rating.
Faux Pickguard Aesthetics
The faux pickguard gives the M-Series their distinctive look. It maintains this classic look and brings coherence to the design, while preserving the grain pattern. It is made out of inlayed ebony.
We could never put a piece of plastic on these, not even transparent acrylic !
Matching Premium Inlays
M-Series fretboard and headstock inlays are exclusively made out of the top wood you chose. They are extracted from the scraps of your top, and they are outline with a black inlayed ebony outline.

Neck Profile : S
Versatile and balanced neck profile suited to most playing styles. Offers ergonomic comfort and support without feeling too thin or chunky.

A modern compound radius optimized for both chord comfort near the nut and flatness for easy bending and lead work higher up the neck.
Woods
Woods
Body : Roasted Ash
Roasted Ash combines the lightweight and vibrant resonance of traditional ash with increased stability and reduced moisture content from the roasting process. It offers enhanced structural integrity, excellent vibration response, and beautiful caramelized hues, making it both functional and visually striking.
Neck : Roasted Maple
Roasted Maple undergoes a heat-treatment process that reduces moisture content, increasing dimensional stability and resistance to environmental changes. It’s lighter than regular maple, with improved stiffness and a rich caramel color. Its reduced internal stress makes it highly resistant to warping, ideal for touring instruments or varying climates.
Fretboard : Indian Rosewood
Indian Rosewood is a dense, oily hardwood with a naturally smooth feel. Its open pores provide excellent grip and tactile comfort. Highly stable across climates, it resists wear and moisture absorption. Its dark brown hues often feature subtle figuring, giving fretboards a warm and classic visual appearance.

Imbuia
Imbuia — also known as Brazilian walnut — is a rare and exceptional tonewood native to the Atlantic Forest of southern Brazil. Its figuring ranges from straight and understated to dramatically flamed, and its natural coloring runs from golden amber to rich chocolate brown, often within a single piece. Under a clear finish, highly figured imbuia develops a three-dimensional, almost luminous quality that places it among the most visually striking cap materials available to boutique builders. Tonally, it contributes warmth, midrange complexity, and a natural resonance that pairs well with brighter body woods beneath it.
Lovely Curves
Masterbuilt Series tops are bent on the armrest which keeps intact the beautiful grain as well as creating an ergonomic and delicate curve to rest on.
Electronics
Masterbuilt instruments feature advanced electronic designs and premium pickups from some of the finest manufacturers in the world. Their circuitry is conceived for power, precision, and tonal versatility — not limited to any particular style, but capable of handling them all.
Depending on the model, you’ll find active systems on basses, expanded tonal controls, and refined wiring layouts that provide exceptional clarity, responsiveness, and creative range.
Pickups
Seymour Duncan P-Rails
The P-Rails is one of Seymour Duncan's most versatile pickup designs — a single humbucker housing that combines a P-90-style coil and a blade rail single coil in a single unit. Used together, the two coils operate as a standard humbucker. Split individually, they deliver either the warm, punchy midrange of a P-90 or the brighter, more articulate voice of a rail single coil. Across two pickups and a switching system, the tonal range available is exceptional — covering clean, glassy single-coil tones through to full, aggressive humbucker output without changing guitars. A pickup built for players who refuse to be limited by a single voice.
