The body is crafted from French red alder (Alnus rubra), chosen for its balanced tonal character and lively resonance. It provides a clear, responsive voice with strong articulation and a solid low-end foundation — qualities that translate naturally across a wide range of playing styles.

Foglia Burst

The Foglia Burst finish combines bold contrast with artisanal texture. Sheets of 24K gold foil are carefully applied over a deep black base, creating a surface where luminous metallic fragments emerge through darker areas of the burst. The transition from gold to black is intentionally organic, allowing the foil to appear fractured and layered rather than perfectly uniform.

This interplay between precious metal and dark lacquer produces remarkable visual depth. Under changing light, the gold reveals warm reflections while the black areas frame the instrument’s contours, emphasizing its sculptural form. The result feels both luxurious and raw — a finish that evokes aged gilded surfaces, worn patina, and traditional decorative techniques.
