A-Series Bass - Custom
Description
A-Series
The A-Series Bass by Belforti Instruments offers a streamlined approach to craftsmanship, focusing on essentials without compromising quality. As the distilled version of the E-Series, the A-Series delivers clarity, balance, and reliable performance, making it an instrument designed for players who value straightforward design and authentic sound.
Built with carefully selected materials, the A-Series keeps customization focused on what matters most. From premium woods to expertly chosen pickups, every component serves the goal of delivering a responsive and honest tone. The 34-inch scale length ensures familiar playability and depth, while the medium neck profile offers a comfortable feel, suited to a variety of playing techniques.
With a balanced fretboard radius of 10” to 14”, the A-Series adapts seamlessly to both rhythmic playing and melodic lines. Black hardware adds a clean, understated aesthetic, complemented by the Belforti bridge and Hipshot Licensed Ultralite tuners — choices that support stability, sustain, and precision.
When designing the A-Series, we found ourselves stuck facing a major problem. We don't use plastics on our instruments unless it's either absolutely necessary, or impossible to do otherwise. The biggest challenge was to leave behind the wooden painted pickguards, frontplates and pickup shells, as they are a major part of our production and finishing process. But what could replace this, without ending with cheap plastic ? The answer lied right under our eyes, with compressed coffee grounds ! This eco friendly material is not only cheap, reliable, and beautiful, it is also a locally upcycled ressource.
Whether in the studio or on stage, the A-Series Bass is a reliable partner for musicians seeking a pure, focused playing experience. It is an instrument built to perform, built to last, and built to let your music speak with clarity. No excess, just the essentials — done right.

Affordable
Affordable, Made in France
The A-Series offers an accessible entry point into the world of premium, handcrafted instruments — without compromise on quality or character. Proudly made in France, every A-Series bass is built with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship found across the Belforti range. By focusing on essential features and thoughtful design choices, the A-Series maintains an attractive price point while delivering the sound, feel, and reliability that serious musicians expect. It’s a clear demonstration that high standards and affordability can coexist. Whether you’re looking for a reliable workhorse or a no-frills instrument with true character, the A-Series provides a straightforward and honest option for players who appreciate authenticity and precision.

Raw Look
Raw Look — Natural Body, No Colors or Paints
The A-Series embraces the natural beauty of wood with a raw, unpainted finish that highlights the unique textures and character of each instrument. Without colored stains or complex paintwork, the natural grain patterns and subtle imperfections of the wood are left fully visible, giving every bass its own identity. This minimalist aesthetic reflects the series' straightforward approach: honest materials, honest design. The raw look isn’t just a stylistic choice — it’s a celebration of the wood itself, allowing the beauty of the material to speak directly. Simple, authentic, and distinctive, the A-Series delivers a natural visual appeal that complements its pure sound.

Simple Builds
Simple Builds — Limited Options for Focused Instruments
The A-Series is built around the philosophy of simplicity. By offering a carefully selected range of options, this series eliminates unnecessary complexity and focuses on what truly matters: great sound and dependable playability. Rather than overwhelming choices, you’ll find a clear, purposeful selection of tonewoods, hardware, and configurations — each chosen for its performance and reliability. This streamlined approach ensures consistency across the range, while still allowing you to create an instrument that feels personal. Simple doesn’t mean basic; it means refined, considered, and ready for music. The result is an instrument that feels focused, direct, and fully dedicated to the essentials of great bass playing.

Compressed Coffee Grounds Pickguard & Pickup Shells
Compressed Coffee Grounds Pickguards and Pickup Shells
Sustainability and creativity meet in the A-Series, with pickguards and pickup shells crafted from compressed coffee grounds. This unique material choice not only reduces waste but also gives each instrument a distinct, organic texture and appearance. The deep, earthy tones of the coffee composite complement the raw aesthetic of the natural wood, creating a subtle yet striking visual harmony. Beyond its looks, the material is durable and stable, ensuring it stands up to the demands of regular playing. It’s a small but meaningful detail that reflects Belforti Instruments’ commitment to thoughtful design and environmental responsibility — proof that innovative materials can enhance both form and function.

Matte Finish
Matte Finish
The A-Series features a clean, matte finish that enhances its natural character while providing a smooth, tactile playing surface. Unlike high-gloss finishes, the matte treatment offers a subtle sheen that feels understated and refined. It preserves the raw aesthetic of the instrument, allowing the beauty of the wood and craftsmanship to shine through without distraction. More than just a visual choice, the matte finish also contributes to the playing experience: it resists fingerprints, provides a comfortable feel under the hands, and reduces glare under stage lights. It's a practical and elegant solution, perfectly aligned with the A-Series philosophy of simplicity and functionality.
